JERUSALEM ARTICHOKES (Yer Elması)

2 pounds jerusalem artichokes
1/2 pound carrots
2 large onions
1/3 cup olive oil
1 tsp. salt
1/2 cup water

Peel and cut the jerusalem artichokes into two or three each and place it in a pot. Add peeled and thinly sliced carrots, finely chopped onions, olive oil, salt, sugar and water and simmer over medium heat for half an hour. Serve at room temperature.
