AKOVA, Akgün

Poet (b. 5 July 1962, Akyazı / Sakarya). He attended the Gebze High School (1979) and graduated from Hacettepe University, Department of Chemical Engineering (1985). He studied further at İstanbul University, Institute of Business Economics. He has published his poetry in the reviews Milliyet Sanat etc. since 1984. He won the Language Society Ömer Asım Aksoy Award in 1997 with his work Yıkık Bir Çocuk Bahçesi Gibiydi Yüzü (His Face Looked like a Wrecked Children’s Park).
