ATSIZ, Yağmur

Poet and writer (b. 1939, İstanbul). He is a son of the poet and writer Nihal Atsız. He attended Haydarpaşa High School and graduated from Bonn University. He has worked in the field of radio, journalism and television. He has been a press councilor at the Bonn Embassy. He has made broadcasts on various radio and television channels and written for newspapers in Germany. He has made TV documentaries and interviews. He works in İstanbul.

He has written articles in Cumhuriyet, Nokta, Pazar Postası, Akis, Yeni Yüzyıl, Milliyet reviews and newspapers. His still writes articles for Tercüman newspaper and Türk Edebiyatı and Maya reviews. In 2002 he won the Writers Union of Türkiye Language Award with his work Meçhûl Bir Gazeteciye Mektublar (Letters to an Unknown Journalist).
