The 11th International Nemrut Commagene Festival

Mt Nemrut And The Commagene Kingdom

Nemrut mountain is within the boarders of Adiyaman - Kahta at 2150 m. high. On the top of it, there is a tumulus, huge statues and inscriptions which belong to Commagene Kingdom (BC 69 - AD 72)

The are is National Park, site field and it has been included to the World Heritage List by UNESCO. This place is considered as the eighth wonder of the world, heavenly throne of the gods, world's highest open air museum and is the place where the sun rises and sets best in the world. And also it is defined the place where the West and East meet.

With all these features and its mysteries unsolved till our day it is not only our country's one of the most important cultural heritages but is also the world's.
